Perú será sede del IV Taller Internacional de los Acuerdos Artemis, un encuentro global sobre exploración espacial que se realizará el 13 y 14 de mayo de 2026 en Lima, informó la Agencia Espacial del Perú (Conida).
Con ello, el país se convertirá en el primero de América Latina en acoger esta reunión internacional, organizada en coordinación con el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, con apoyo de la NASA y el Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos.
Los Acuerdos Artemis fueron establecidos en 2020 y reúnen a países comprometidos con una exploración espacial pacífica, transparente y sostenible, en línea con el Tratado del Espacio Ultraterrestre de 1967.
Según Conida, la elección de Lima como sede refuerza el posicionamiento del Perú dentro de la agenda espacial internacional, tras haberse adherido oficialmente a los acuerdos el 30 de mayo de 2024.
